Ventria Bioscience Receives Fast-Track SBIR Grant to Study VEN100 in Antibiotic Associated Diarrhea

$1.38 million, 3-year research grant will foster commercial development of preventive treatment for AAD

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – August 22, 2011 – Ventria Bioscience today announced that the Small Business Innovation Research Program (SBIR), Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Institute on Aging has funded part of the company's research program "Lactoferrin for the prevention of antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD) in adults." The 3-year project was designed to refine protocols for production of the company's lead therapeutic candidate, VEN100, and test its safety and efficacy in human clinical trials.
